St Susanna

St Susanna was born in Italy and she was raised in called Rome in 280 AD. She was determined to devote her life to God. The Emperor at the time tried to persuade her to worship the Roman Gods, Susanna refused and was therefore beheaded. She died in 295 AD. Her feast day is 11th August.

St Helena

St Helena

St Helena was born in 245 BC. She was the mother of a Roman Emperor called Constantine. She converted to Christianity and built many churches in Rome. There is a story that while she was visiting the Holy Land she found the actual cross on which Jesus was crucified. Her feast day is August 18th.
