PTFA

The St John Fisher PTFA is a Registered Charity (no. 1105886) which aims to raise money and foster closer links between staff, parents, children and friends in the community.

All money raised goes to help provide resources and experiences for all children of St John Fisher.  Tens of thousands of pounds have been raised over the past few years, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to provide a wider and richer experience for our children.  This is achieved through organised events and activities which include Discos, Quiz Nights, Pre-loved Book and Uniform sales, Christmas and Summer Fairs and lots more!

A great evening out for the kids to dance the night away!  Split into two sessions; Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 kick the night off at 5pm until 6.30pm and then Years 3 to 6 get their dancing shoes on from 7pm until 8.30pm.  Tickets are available on ParentPay a few weeks before the event and then names will be on the door.  Drinks and snacks are available to purchase on the night.  Adult supervision is required by a parent/carer or other responsible adult (16yr +) for the duration of the event. The adult must remain on the premises.

Quiz Night - November

A new event for adults only.  A great opportunity to meet other members of the school community and raise a bit for the PTFA at the same time.  Gather a team of 8-10, grab a friend, bring your partner or let us do the work and put you in a team. An evening not to be missed!

Christmas Fair - End November/Dec

Summer Fair - end of June/July

Our summer fair is the biggest event of the year and is a great way to get the school community together and raise much needed funds to benefit all our children.  Previous fairs have included a music festival and circus skills.  There will be a variety of stalls including BBQ, toys, bouncy castles, craft, bar, hamper raffle and tombolas. Tickets available on the day.

Pre-loved uniform sales

A great way to have both a clear out and get the next term’s uniform sorted.  We try to have a sale once a term.  We collect donated uniforms a few days before the event and always need lots of volunteers on hand to collect, sort and sell.

Pre-loved Children’s book sales

Held at least once a year, a great opportunity to get great books at discounted prices.  We collect donated books a few days before the event and always need lots of volunteers on hand to collect, sort and sell.

The Woodland Garden volunteering days

Held throughout the year to keep our Woodland Garden looking its best.
